
We keep hearing news related to the use of mobile phones in air travel. Here is a very good news for all the travellers! Emirates the world’s leading airline has become the worlds first airline to offer inflight mobile phone services to its customers. This includes voice calls and text services. The first ever mobile phone call was made in the Emirates Airbus A340-300 aircraft flying from Dubai to Casablanca. These services are however very limited for the time being. Read more here
Also in the news Australia based QANTAS has started to offer inflight email and SMS services to its customers flying in its fleet of domestic Boeing 767 and Airbus A330. This is good news as we might see more airlines offering inflight mobile services to their customers worldwide. Read more here
